Sardinia Wreck and Cave Diving

Sardinia Wreck and Cave Diving Rebreatherpro-Training

The wreck of the steamer steam Benghazi, lies on a sandy bottom at a depth comprised between 86 and 95 meters and is a few miles from the Cabbages.

The ship is 83 meters long and 11 wide, missing the bow, destroyed because of the dismissal by the British submarine Truant 7:35 pm on May 6, 1941.

Nestling in sailing trim, still it retains in its holds, a load of poor quality glass, but that fascinates all who magically illuminate the while diving.

It was sunk despite being devoid of major weapons and had not airborne troops, contrary to what was communicated during the war event.

Perhaps one of the finest wrecks in the Mediterranean, with the hold full of glasses, propeller and majesty of stern cannon, which remain etched indelibly in the memory of those who are immersed.

Diving fascinating but for very experienced divers.
